The needle-pointed blade works well for delicate pruning such as cutting grapevines and harvesting. We have two materials - high carbon steel (B-300) and stainless steel (B-300S). The stainless steel type resists rust. The carbon steel type has a strong blade and hold up its edge a long time but requires the edge to be wiped clean and dry after use to prevent rust.
